Dux Suecia Pre-Game #2

Today I and Jonas will continue our Dux Suecia Campaign (Migrat of TFL Dux Britanniarum to kalmar Union War i.e. Civil War in 15th century Sweden)

In the last game set in May 1466 the Union forces tried to Raid Penningby but was repulsed due to stiff Allmoge resistance.

The Union/Archbishop forces haven´t had time to replace all losses so the Rebells under command of the Knight Nils Bosson Sture of the House Natt och Dag have the uperhand. In July 1466 the rebells decide to attack a Union supply column destined to the Archbishop and his troops that defending the Swedish capital Stockholm.

Here are some pre-game pictures from the terrain I was at the club and set up befor our game on monday evening.

Citizens of Stockholm looking at the sypply column far away...

The few defending forces of Stockholm hoping for some reinforcements as fell as more food...

Civilians working by the fields...

Must hurry away, THEY are coming...

At last Stockholm and the safty of the towns walls...

Game setup, do you see the rebells or is it only rumors...

  6. Great looking table Michael! I'm so looking forward to bash some Union heads with my rebel Swedes once again. ;)

I notice the battlefield is much more open this time, which gives more room for maneuvering.Perhaps it will lead to a less "stuck in" and more fluid game than the last. We shall see tonight!

  8. Thanks Mates, glad you like the pictures, took some extra time to get the sky in place;)

Nice to have a brake in the painting of the "uncivil war"

@Jonas you are probably right in the assumption that you will bach some Unionnists tonight as the Swedish Rebells have taken advntage of the fakt that the Union havent had time to recplace the losses from the unsuccessfull raid on Penningby and are 10 men short...

But with some extra blessings from the Archbishop the union will endure...

    Best regards Michael

  9. Fantastic looking table and the way you have taken the pictures. When you say 'took extra time to get the sky in place' Was it done with the computer or is it an actual back drop? Either way, would you mind sharing how you did this, as it looks very impressive?
    Cheers,
    Pat.

    1. Thanks Pat !

It was made with Photoshop Elements, first time for me to use the magicwand...

First I duplicated the pcture so I got two layers using the macigwand to mark eferything in the backfround thet I wanted to Delete.

The I just used the "Sky 1" backgroud that was in the program, simple as that.

The time consumer was to get the magicwand to marke the stuff thet needed to go and not my minis or terrain...

Don´t know it this was of much help;)

      Best regards Michael
